Everything you need
Powerful features designed for the way you work.
- Two executors, clear roles
- Split the work, for example money and admin for one, your clients for the other.
- Automatic messages pause
- Session reminders, invoice reminders and recurring invoices stop, and you come off your booking page.
- Your clients hear from a person
- Therasee never contacts your clients about this. Your executor does, in the way you asked.
- The person who'd hear first
- Name the person most likely to find out first. They get one email with your executor's details, and access to nothing.
- Checked every year
- Therasee asks once a year if your will is still right, and reminds your executors too.
- Evidence when asked
- Download your signed, dated clinical will as a PDF at any time.

Clinical Will: your questions answered
What is a clinical will?
A clinical will, sometimes called a professional will, sets out what should happen to your clients and records if you suddenly cannot work, through illness, accident or death. It names a clinical executor, usually a fellow practitioner, who contacts your clients, supports them and refers them on.
Do therapists need a clinical will?
From 3 November 2026, BACP requires every member to have a clinical will and a named executor, and UKCP, BABCP, BPC and COSCA expect something similar. A clinical will makes sure your clients are contacted, supported and referred on if you suddenly cannot work.
How does Therasee's clinical will work?
Answer a few short questions, or attach the will you already have, and name up to two executors. Each executor reads the will on a private link, confirms their mobile and signs. It takes about five minutes.
What can my executor see?
Your clients, their contact details and your sessions, always. Notes, files, forms and invoices only if you tick them. Settings and your password are never included, and executors confirm who they are with a one-time code to their mobile.
When does my executor get access?
Only when it is needed. Hand over yourself, until a date or until you end it. If you cannot, Therasee support releases access after checks, and every record opened, client contacted and session cancelled is logged.
What happens to reminders and bookings during a handover?
Session reminders, invoice reminders and recurring invoices pause, and you come off your booking page. Therasee never contacts your clients about it; your executor does, in the way you asked.
Is it included in my plan, and is there a free template?
Yes. The clinical will is on every plan, you can download the signed, dated will as a PDF at any time, and Therasee checks with you once a year that it is still right. The guide also has a free template, whatever software you use.
